The Venue
A Camden Town Hall Wedding
Camden Town Hall was built between 1934 and 1937 as St Pancras Town Hall. Its architect, A. J. Thomas, had worked with Lutyens, and the Portland stone front on Euston Road was modelled on the Place de la Concorde in Paris. It is Grade II listed.
After a full refurbishment, ceremonies returned to the building in 2023. Inside you will find a top-lit white marble staircase, a black and white marble entrance floor and a Members’ Lobby with marble columns. Step outside and you are face to face with the gothic splendour of St Pancras, one of the best backdrops in London.

Camden Town Hall Wedding Photos: What to Know
Camden is one of the friendliest register offices for photography. Photos, video and audio recording are allowed throughout the ceremony as long as they do not disturb it, so we can capture every moment from the vows to the signing. A ceremony lasts about 30 minutes.
The Marble Staircase can be used for photos, so even if you marry in another room we can take portraits on it. The entrance is on Judd Street, so we will meet you there and plan your group photos around the steps and the street outside.

You have some of London’s most famous architecture right on the doorstep. The red-brick front of the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel is a minute away, and the British Library piazza, with its open space and sculptures, is just along the road.
With a little more time, Granary Square and the Regent’s Canal at King’s Cross offer water, fountains and modern architecture, while Tavistock Square and Russell Square give you calm, leafy Bloomsbury gardens. We will plan a route that fits your day.
