Town Hall Weddings
London Register Office Wedding Photography
London’s town halls are some of the most beautiful places to marry in the country. Many are listed buildings, with marble staircases, panelled council chambers and grand stone steps that look wonderful in photos, and a register office wedding costs a fraction of a private venue. From the Art Deco stairs of Hackney Town Hall to the famous steps of Old Marylebone Town Hall, each one has its own character.
They also have their own rhythm. Ceremonies are short, often 20 to 45 minutes, rooms are booked back to back, and every borough has its own rules on confetti and photography. That is why we read up on your venue before the day, so we know exactly where to stand, when to move and where to take you for portraits. For most register office weddings, a 2-hour booking is all you need. Not sure? Read our guide to how many hours of wedding photography you need.
