Marrying at Old Marylebone Town Hall, home of Westminster Register Office? We photograph weddings here from £320 for 2 hours, from the famous front steps to the grand corridors inside and portraits around Marylebone.
The Venue
An Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding
Few register offices have a history like this one. Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman here in 1969, Ringo Starr married Barbara Bach in 1981, and Liam Gallagher, and more recently Dua Lipa, have followed. The building itself was designed by Sir Edwin Cooper, built between 1914 and 1920 in Portland stone, and opened by the future King George VI in 1920. It is Grade II listed.
After a major refurbishment it reopened in 2018, and it looks wonderful in photos: tall columns and stone steps outside, and inside, elegant corridors, alcoves and ceilings with hidden figures waiting to be spotted.

On the Day
Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photos: What to Know
Westminster asks couples to arrive 30 minutes early, and arriving late can cut your photo time. Inside, photos are allowed in the corridor, on the downstairs landing and in the alcoves, which are lovely spots for quiet portraits. The front steps are the classic shot, but time there can be short because other wedding parties arrive throughout the day, so we work quickly and calmly.
Only biodegradable confetti is allowed, with no rice, metallic or plastic confetti. We will help you find the best moment and spot for it so everyone gets a clear view.
Portrait Spots
Photo Spots Near Old Marylebone Town Hall
Regent’s Park is just a few minutes’ walk away, with its gardens, lake and long avenues. As one of the Royal Parks, it needs a photography permit for professional shoots, so we can help you plan for that. Closer still, Dorset Square is a pretty Georgian garden square that makes a calm backdrop.
For a more urban feel, Marylebone High Street has handsome shopfronts and red-brick mansion blocks, and Paddington Street Gardens is a hidden green space a short walk away. We will plan a route around your timings and your next stop.
